I went to the doctor today and I'm already at 2cm dilated, 90% effaced... What does that really mean? ... I've been 2cm & 80% for two weeks and no baby yet. I am hoping he or she arrives soon! ... Head down low and engaged would make you dilate. 2cm is nothing to worry about- plenty of women walk around dilated 1-3 cm and have no idea until 35 weeks when dr does an internal exam.
