I thought I was doing pretty good because I was getting a lot of SATA’s, but then the questions kept coming until I got all of them. In total, I received ~43 SATAs, 1 picture ...I got my email from pearson like 15 minutes after I finished taking the test and I did the trick and it came up as good. The week before my boards I got sick and I could't really study so I just did a few questions a day from Princeton Review (retired questions from previous NCLEX). Questions are very vague compared to UWORLD so really know your rationales. Got the NCLEX completion email as soon as I got to the parking lot. Did the PVT 5 times and got the bad pop-up each time.

The 1# type of question you should get overall is priority type. Also alot of nclex questions have to do with safety so many questions you can eliminate choices when thinking in a safety mindset. I shall spend more time going over my notes for those areas then. And good tip on the elimination process!

1,403 Posts. Mar 6, 2017. Yesterday I took the NCLEX. I started at 2pm and finished at 430pm. The test shut off at 95 questions and it ended with a SATA question that I know I got right. I felt all the color leave my face and I wanted to vomit right there in the middle of the testing center when that computer shut off!

While taking the NCLEX definitely requires general nursing knowledge, the exam testing your critical thinking more than anything. For me personally, Uworld helped refresh and expand my nursing knowledge base from school. However I felt like the NCLEX question style were very similar to kaplan.I did questions everyday and a week before the exam, I took the practice assessment. I got a low chance of passing. My overall performance was at a 47%, putting me in the 19th percentile. I didn't study at all the night before or the day of the exam.
