If the fan comes on, the temp switch is bad. If it doesn't, with the wires still jumped, check for power at the fan. If there is power, the fan is no good. I would suggest putting in the oil return into the rear cylinder like a lot of people have. But you might be able to get away with just plugging the hole in the airbox that the crank vent goes to.. And extending the vent line. It has two large wires (one coming directly from the battery) and two small wires connected to it.
