PF9 Extractor Issue Resolved. My PF9 started to exhibit the famous FTE problem we have read about on this forum. I called KT and they sent out a new extractor, spring and button screw on their dime. I found the original button screw a bit loose so that was probably the reason for the FTE I had suddenly come across after about 100 rounds.
Now it appears Ruger has done it again, this time with its LC9 going against the Kel-Tec PF-9, both slim, single-stack, easily concealable DAO 9mm handguns. But now, instead of a $6 difference in price and not much different about the operation of the two 380s, there’s a $110 extra charge for the Ruger 9mm, a third again the cost of the Kel-Tec.Anyone ever tried to detail strip a Kel-Tec PF-9 down the individual parts for cleaning? To field strip, Just push the barrel/slide back an 1/8". force the rim of a case under the head of the asssebly pin. pop the pin and remove. pull the slide/barrel and spring forward and off the frame.

Wipe down all the areas you scrubbed, with a clean cloth. Scrub the exterior of the pistol frame with a toothbrush and a small amount of solvent, then dry it off with a clean cloth. Apply a small amount of gun oil to a clean cloth and wipe down all external parts of the P3AT. Once you have done this, wipe the areas dry with a dry cloth.
