It appears that Gong is not accepting of his son but rather accommodating this relationship. People can change - we all did in our beliefs. Hopefully Gong will choose his son over the church. As of now his brain is wired to put religion first. Maybe his shelf will break and he will do the right thing and leave. One can only hope.
