I had my Micro 9 CTLG out 3-4 times, it has about 300-400 rounds through it now and so far it has run flawlessly. Only failures at the this point have been slide lock failure on last round.To clean a Kimber Micro 9mm, first ensure the firearm is unloaded. Then, disassemble the gun according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Clean the barrel, slide, and frame with a solvent and brush, then lubricate all moving parts before reassembly.Looks very similar to my 1911. Push the firing pin in from the back and slide the lock plate down. Be careful when removing the lock plate that you don't launch the pin. Not sure how strong that spring is. That is the way to remove the firing pin from the Micro 9. As noted, make sure you keep a finger over the area so you don't launch the spring.
