Honda accord whining noise when starting.

My 2010 Accord has approx 90k and just recently started making a 'dirtbike'. sound when accelerating. I know it's a 'typical' noise most older hondas make but mine. isnt that old. You can definitely hear it when you are in park and give it some gas. James B. January 19, 2021. The Honda Accord making whining noise causes are faulty water pump or worn out alternator bearings. You will come into many issues with an engine. A gasket may be loose and that needs to be tightened up quickly. You can have oil leaks and those need to be fixed as soon as possible.
