Hello, I recently started a Rogue/Ranger Horizon walker build. while everything may not translate perfectly I'll give my best advice. Paralyzing arrows is to unreliable to use and even if you try to build towards it with Enchantment DCs it won't make to much a difference at higher levels.

Rogue is always a good multiclass for ranger! Cleric would also be a good choice, as would druid. Probably will want to wait until 11th level Ranger (for Distant Strikes, which really is the iconic Horizon Walker feature) for multiclassing, or 12th level for that ASI as a general rule for whatever you decide to dip into.

You aren’t going to hit super hard as a Ranger compared to other front line martials. You’ll eventually have access to Haste and Misty Step, so your primary go-to is gonna be mobility and quick attacks.
