Every time shoot it I get failure to feed mostly and an occasional stove pipe. I replaced the recoil spring and soaked the bolt and the trigger assembly in Hoppes for three days, dried it off.989 M2 problems. I recently picked up a 989 M2 and outwardly it looks very good but I am having problems with functioning. On the first trip to the range it was working fine with the exception of FTF about 40% of time. Yep, 2, not an R, is the same as a Model 70 or 995 or 989 with the addition of a wooden handguard. Which is the predeccessor of the Marlin Model 795, the difference between those is the LSHO (Last Shot Hold Open) feature & a bump in the magazine well that prevents Model 70 from being used.
