The consensus seems to be that necrons (which is also the most expensive of the 4) is the strongest and forces of the imperium is the on second place. boringdude00. • 1 yr. ago. The mono-black one is almost certainly the best out of the box, as it's not hampered by the typical janky precon mana base. Arguably its the best one by individual ...

Opinions on which of the UB 40K Precons Ended up with the Least Chaff/Cuttables. I think it's no argument that these new UB Precons have much tighter designs and value that the non-UB Products. But I am curious what the general consensus is on which ended up with the less 'chaff', IE; the least with cards inconsequential or mediocre in impact.

More people buying = more need to print, and larger print orders means more QC issues slipping through the cracks. COVID.The new ones can probably jump up to a 6 depending. The Necron 40k precon only needs minor tweaks and quite a few of the LCI precons only needed their manabase tweaked a bit to easily go upto a baseline 7. Meanwhile, like you said, the pre-2017 Commander decks were basically a 100 card themed deck of mostly jank.ADMIN. The standard EDH precons look sad next to the WH40K ones. Here is a set of precons featuring 42 new cards (each), entirely new art for everything (reprints included, with stuff like Sol Ring, Arcane Signet and Command Tower receiving new art for each deck), new mechanics, creature types and stylized frames all for $50 each.

ABout the 40K Precons, i think are probably the top notch, mainly because they are very tight, focused themes. Unlike most Precons, this ones have a clear idea of what they want to do, and most of the new cards work to do so Now if we talk about wich one is the best, i think it shall be a tie beetwen Necrons and Tyranids.

The 40K precons are all good, but the Necron one is incredibly cohesive and plays well right out of the box. I actually just reverted mine back to its original state to use in vanilla precon games. Owning both it and the Tyrannid deck, I'd recommend Necrons—but I'm also biased toward black and the necrons' design.

This was released before the precons really took off in power, so it'll probably be just fine, but slow. Overall, if you want perfect balance, I'd agree on getting 4 of the same set, but honestly, flinging cards is fun and any of the four decks can win against one another. I'd say the tyranid one might be stronger than the rest with a ...The Doctor Who (codename WHO) decks come a year after the Warhammer 40k Commander decks, which set a precedent for high-power, complex precons under the Universes Beyond umbrella. I am debating buying some decks to open and play and also put on a shelf as I did with 40k decks.

I tested the Warhammer 40k precons this weekend and I had a blast: not only on how they play but the delight to have a full deck with coherent artworks, always on theme and flavorful. I'm thinking about upgrading the Necron deck in particular and would love to add a few cards.

The Dr. Who precons are pretty strong out of the box and fun to play. A lot of reasonable value reprints in them as well. Not the 50 dollar per card kind but 2-5 dollars. So playable yet not bonkers staples.
