Chrysler pacifica dvd player not working.

I can still play games and stuff like that on both screens, but the CD/ DVD itself shows up as error. Got to the dealer and he says the entire unit in the dash needs to be replaced.By performing the following. 1/ removing all 3 connectors by using the key to push into the slot, pulling out the red tab, cramp down onto the middle part of the connector and slightly pull it out. All 3 of these connectors need the same removals. 2/ Removing the cover of the VRM by the 2 screws in the front.If I put the DVD in the front console (radio/media center) there is no VES option. I can hear the DVD but it does not play on the rear screen. Also, when I put the DVD into the DVD Player (in the back on the ceiling) I can see the video but it has no sound. One of the comments in Q&A section states this. May be this will work with the overhead DVD player. As I am reading more reviews of other IR headphones, seems like most of them should work with overhead DVD player. It is the Uconnect theater that does not work with normal headphones. The Pacifica with seatback video screens are not compatible.They should be able to state the unit manufacture and if the problem can be corrected. Diamler is a German Firm.
