I pressed it apart and lubed the sealed bearings by popping off the grease seals and lubing it up. Put the seals back and pressed it all back together.

It runs beautifully and everything was in order for a first mowe today when I noticed that the PTO doesn't engage. I disconnected it and measure directly in the connector but nothing.Battery is good. Engine is running on both cylinders. Blades spin fine by hand, no pulley or bearing issues that I can tell. Blades are bolted tight. Drive and deck belts "seem" tight enough.
