The Nowthen Threshing Show parade has been a summertime tradition for five decades. It first began in the city of Rogers. This year will offer a return to the event after a year off for COVID-19. It is slated for Aug. 20-22 at its showgrounds at 7415 Old Viking Blvd., Nowthen.
Fall Tractor Pull. The Fall Tractor Pull is held at the Nowthen Threshing Show grounds. A detailed rules document for the Fall tractor pull will be posted below about a month before the tractor pull. The depot was acquired by the Nowthen Historical Power Association in the fall of 2001, and was moved to a temporary site at the Nowthen Threshing Show grounds on November 23, 2001. The depot was then moved to its permanent location along the railroad tracks on June 29, 2002.

The 50th anniversary of the Nowthen Threshing Show is scheduled for Aug. 20-22 at 7415 Old Viking Blvd. in Nowthen. The festival is open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. The event features the Nowthen Historical Power Association and the Anoka Engine Club. One group restored a 22" International Harvester Threshing machine and used it to put on the original Rogers Threshing Show. The other group collected and restored old tractors and stationary gas engines.The Nowthen Threshing Show will have golf carts available for rental during the show again this year. Available for rental are four person golf carts only. Quantities are limited. Carts can be rented ahead of time through our presale, subject to availability. Between the 1993 and 1994 Rogers threshing shows, all of the buildings and equipment were moved to the new site in Nowthen 14 miles northeast of Rogers. Preserving the past for the future. In 1997, the organization again changed its name to the Nowthen Historical Power Association (NHPA) and renamed the show the Nowthen Threshing Show.
