Ninja has a fantastic DOM for trading. The charting packages are both free to try. I've tried amp and ninjatrader trials, but I think amp and Sierra combo is the best. Ninjatrader takes a while to start up and load charts, versus Sierra which takes a few seconds only. Customization in sierra is also amazing.So in this context Tradovate is superior if you're intra day/ day swing trading. NT is better if you know to code or want highly customizable systems to manage trades & you do not let your system go inactive. I like lifetime on NinjaTrader. Not sure what you're missing, but just posting to reassure that it's definitely possible. I got my NT8 setup to connect to both Apex Tradovate and Apex Rithmic accounts at the same time, with live data. For Tradovate, it should be simulation account for eval.
