Feb 27, 2022 · 850 ETEC Oil Line. Hello, I just sold my 800 to upgrade to a used 2018 850, 1100 miles. When I bought the sled, I noticed a couple drops of clean red oil on the belly pan. Asked the seller about it and he said that's the first he had seen, so I assumed it was just some spilt oil as the engine bay was clean.

There has been a number of guys on here that have said there isn't a noticeable difference between Gen 4 & Gen 5 in the trail models. I think the Gen 5 in the Summit and Freeride is where there has been significant improvements. I have seen a lot of good reviews of the Gen 5 in the Deep Snow. If the primary clutch is kept from getting too hot the grease lasts the 600 hours no problem. When the motor gets too hot the life span goes down. There’s some differences besides tunnel length this season. Such as MXZ has solid riser now, Gade has the FAR riser. Garmin can mount the same on any of the sleds, gauges are in the same size space no matter which it has. Share.
