I recently bought a Ruger Security 9 and I having issues with misfires. I have put around 600 rounds through it so far and have only shot maybe three mags where I didn't experience a misfire. The slide would stay locked back when there were still rounds in the magazine. This happened more than once. Plus often when you put a new (loaded) magazine in and pull the slide back to put a round in the chamber the slide got stuck in the back position. Did a bit of research online and it seems to be a fairly common problem.

It seems I'm having this issue every time I strip the gun. It seems like the recoil spring pops out of the spot it sits on the barrel when I push the slide back to put the takedown pin back in. Because I lock the slide back, then release the slide and move it forward to remove the slide again, and it's already stuck.
