The 6 films, Prometheus, Covenant, Alien, Aliens, Alien 3 and Resurrection are all considered canon as are all the different versions of the first 4 films. Alien Isolation is 100% canon too. Colonial Marines was once considered canon by Fox but I believe that is no longer the case. Definitely read Outbreak, Nightmare Asylum, Female War and Genocide first, in that order.
