However, for the default value, I have given a static value. I want to get today's date in the default value (with now() function). However, Splunk tells that a query is not possible in the default field. The strptime function takes any date from January 1, 1971 or later, and calculates the UNIX time, in seconds, from January 1, 1970 to the date you provide. The _time field is in UNIX time.
