I've seen that up through April is the "best" time to visit, whereas into June you start to hit hurricane season, then heavy summer heat and the worst of the bugs.
Easiest and quickest is to get either a rapid antigen test or rapid diagnostic test at either Walgreens or CVS. Both are acceptable and quicker than a PCR test (and only an easy nasal swab, not a brain probe LOL). We've done both tests that I suggested for our last two Dec. trips (before vaccinations were accepted). Feb 16, 2024 · Travel Day & Final Impressions. Feb 16, 2024, 7:01 AM. Save. We are home, balmy 30 degrees here this AM. I'm not a math whiz but that's about 50 degree differential from when we left Wednesday. We had noon flight from STT to SJU with 90 minute layover before leaving SJU for Boston arrival back in Boston around 5PM. Day started off perfectly.

St. John is much better for snorkeling from shore. Antigua is only average in that regard. That being said, I love Antigua and it is one of my favorite islands to visit. To stay 15 days on St John would be my choice. 2/3rds of the island is National Park and with 33 bays and numerous hiking trails to explore you will not run out 8f things to do. At the airport when leaving :) They have plain, with cheese and with ham and cheese and they are between $4 and $6 where the hamburgers or hotdogs are around $15 so best deal when waiting to leave (although they do sell out if you flight is a late one) 9. We usually stay 10 + nights so it helps with food budget and quick dinners as most of my stuff is already prepared and just needs cooking and/or reheating. My parents feel they need to bring a few boxes of food because the grocery store shelves maybe empty and we may not find essentials. I disagree and feel we should just buy all of our food when we arrive.Our costs, villa $2600 jeep $900 flights $550 & food, gas, ground transfer and gifts $1000. Also $600 for dog sitters.
