New Member. Jan 10, 2015. #1. I am a relative newcomer to McIntosh. I have enjoyed my MC 252 for a couple of years but had it paired with a capable Rotel pre. I'm ready to jump into the world of Mc pre-amps and have an offer in for C 45. The C 45 seems to be a bit of a enigma. On the one hand, it gets good reviews for 2 channel.But in terms of sonics, the Mac engineers were very faithful to the originals. There are a few changes that are part and parcel of the new C22. For example, the LP equalization rocker switch has been replaced with a 2nd tape loop switch.
