Inoculated on November 11th, my 4 cakes took between 5 and 7 weeks to get fully colonised (at a temp of ~70°F).The Uncle Bens Tek, as it's now called, can work and sometimes does. It's just that the likelihood of success (20-25% or less) is far lower than other tried and true methods. It was tried on The Shroomery some 10-15 years ago.
