As far as mechanically they’re the same truck, different badge. In fact my Yukon wasn’t any different then my Silverado. I’d go with the one you find aesthetically pleasing. I am debating the same thing. I like the look of the Denali much more but I have heard that quality wise the Tahoe is better than the GMC.
Palisades/Squaw is great, but the parking lot does fill up so you want to make sure you leave with plenty of time. There will be significant traffic between Tahoe City and the mountain pretty much every weekend. But if you don't make it into the Squaw lots, you can always try for Alpine, as its right next door. Like Das said, you're pretty much limited to staying somewhere in South Lake Tahoe. There's plenty of motels in the area but prices are usually around $80 a night. I have a season pass to Heavenly, North*, and Kirkwood because of a deal, but Sierra is still my favorite mountain in the area.Real estate is often portrayed as a glamorous profession.
